The 40G QSFP+ connector of the 5m MellanoxĀ MFA2609130-005 Compatible 40G to 8xLC Active Optical Breakout Cable by Advance is fully testedĀ to ensure 100% compliance with all Mellanox switches, routers, appliances and devices that support MFA2609130-005 cables.
The cable breaks out into 8x multimode LC connectors, grouped into four duplex pairs which simply plug into any 10G multimode (850nm) SFP+ module, eliminating the need to ensure compatibility with the vendor equipment on the four pairs as this is handled by the SFP+ modules. The simple plug-and-play operation allows four devices to connect to your Mellanox ToR switch and enable 10G Ethernet communication between each device.
